Pornography & Compulsive Sexual Behavior

Compassionate, Shame-Free Treatment That Works

If you’re struggling excessive porn use, you’re not alone. I work with folks struggling with sexual behaviors that feel difficult to control, and the impact these patterns can have on relationships, intimacy, and self-esteem. Porn can become a particularly powerful source of escape in a world where sexual content is private, immediate, and easily accessible. For some people, what begins as an occasional, harmless behavior can develop into a cycle of urges, short-term relief, shame, secrecy, and repeated attempts to stop or cut back.

My approach is evidence-based, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. Rather than treating sexuality or porn as inherently problematic, we work to understand the function the behavior serves and whether it is interfering with the life you want to have. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, and exposure-based approaches to address urges, shame, and compulsive patterns while simultaneously building healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions. Treatment can also address concerns around sexual performance, partnered intimacy, and developing a more intentional and fulfilling relationship with sexuality in general. You do not have to go at this alone.
